Jim Hickey joined Vista Equity Partners in 2008 and is currently a Co-Head of Vista Equity Partners Perennial, the firm’s permanent capital investment fund, and sits on its Investment Committee.

Additionally, Jim serves as a member of Vista’s Executive Committee, the firm’s governing and decision-making body for matters affecting its overall management and strategic direction, and Vista’s Private Equity Management Committee, the firm’s decision-making body for matters affecting Vista’s overall private equity platform. He previously was a member of the Vista Flagship Fund and its Investment Committee. Jim currently sits on the boards of Accelya, Ellucian and Greenway Health. He was also actively involved with the firm’s investments in Aderant, Aptean, BigMachines, Brainware, EagleView, Navex, Numerator, SirsiDynix and Zywave.

Prior to joining Vista, Jim spent 25 years at William Blair & Company, including 14 years heading up its technology investment banking practice and 11 years as an equity research analyst following the technology sector. Jim is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
