David Bonnette joined Vista Equity Partners in 2017 and is a member of the private equity Foundation team and Vista’s Foundation Funds Investment Committee.

David has been actively involved in numerous Vista transactions, including representative transactions such as Aptean, Lone Wolf, PeopleAdmin and Zego (Powered by PayLease). David is also active in portfolio executive development.

Prior to Vista, David was CEO of Lanyon, which was merged with Cvent (a former Vista company). Before Lanyon, David was CEO of BigMachines (a former Vista company) until its acquisition by Oracle. David has worked in the software industry for nearly 30 years, and prior to BigMachines, held a variety of executive roles at Oracle, where he led North American organizations in ERP, CRM and consulting.

David is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization, where he serves on the advisory board and is a mentor for the Posse Foundation.
