Matthew Laermer joined Vista Equity Partners in 2025 and is responsible for overseeing co-investment activity across the firm.

Prior to joining Vista, Matthew was a Managing Director of Alternative Investments at Arch Capital Group, where he focused on private markets opportunities across the capital structure and established the firm’s co-investment program.

Before Arch, he spent 15 years at AIG in a variety of roles, including playing a key role during AIG’s financial crisis restructuring, helping to launch its co-investment business, and representing the company on the board of Varagon Capital Partners.
